In verband met de voorbereiding van de tentoonstelling De wonderlijke wereld van Nicolas Eekman is het museum gesloten van maandag 11 maart tot en met vrijdag 5 april.

Een voor iedereen toegankelijk museum

Because art must be accessible to everyone, the Musée de Flandre has been applying an active accessibility policy since its reopening.

The Museum was awarded the “Tourisme et Handicap” label for the four disabilities and was awarded the “Patrimoine pour tous” (Heritage for All) prize in 2016, as a reward for the quality of its action. The building, classified as a Historic Monument, is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and tools have been developed to make the collections accessible to everyone: touch models in the rooms, easy-to-read and easy-to-understand booklets (FALC) available at the reception, regular guided tours with audio description and guided tours in (French) sign language.

Custom projects are regularly created, together with associations and government structures. The public service will consult with you to arrange an intervention for you in the best possible circumstances.
